Bucharest rocks the house to promote the Millennium Development Goals (25/09/2008)

Bucharest, 25 September - British Embassy Bucharest and its media partner MTV Romania hosted an anti-poverty disco to raise awareness on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). Money raised from ticket sale went to FOND, a local NGO, main partner to the Romanian Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, assisting them to implement the policy for international development co-operation.

All four DJs waived their standard fees to join the charitable event, and the club hosting the disco donated 15% of their evening sales to FOND. Other sponsors include Vodafone, Cadbury, Halewood, Intercontinental Bucharest, and British Airways.
