What we do in Romania

The Defence Attaché as a serving military officer represents the UK Chief of Defence Staff. Besides providing military advice to the Ambassador, he acts as an interface between Romania and the UK on military matters and undertakes many ceremonial and other representational duties throughout the year.

The Defence Section manages a large number of bilateral activities each year including military training and ‘train-the-trainer’ activities, expert visits, seminars, joint UK/Romanian exercises, and exchanges.

Through the UK Trade and Investment Section, Defence Section assists UK companies wishing to establish business links within the Defence/Military Sector in Romania.
